History

The foundations of Terminal go back to 1998 when a team was established within IDG's (International Data Group) Turkey office, to provide custom publishing services for Information Technology (IT) companies. During that time, this team has published various publications, including magazines, white papers, inserts and advertorials, for the Turkey offices of IT giants such as IBM, Microsoft, Compaq, Oracle, Sun Microsystems, Vestel, HP and Digital.

After IDG's Turkey office has been closed down, the team has reassembled under a new business founded by Akdoğan Özkan and coordinated by Özlem Ersoy Özkan. The team was initially working from their home offices as a wide network of telecommuters, hence the name "Terminal". Although Terminal is now based at its office in Mecidiyeköy, İstanbul where the coordinators are located, many members of the team - "terminal passengers" - still work from their home offices...
